- This work an ancient manuscript drawn from various trials of many of this sect in the district of Saint Oyan de Joux, commonly known as Saint Claude in the county of Burgundy including the procedure to a judge in trials for witchcraft. Henry Boguet, chief Judge in Burgundy, penned this little treatise concerning that which had been done with regard to the miserable sect of people, or witches, in order that all may know the zeal with which the Archbishop of Besancon strove to purge the land of Saint Claude from witches.
