Arctic Exploration Pamphlets is a collection of writings by Isaac Hayes, an American Arctic explorer and physician, originally published in 1874. The book contains two pamphlets written by Hayes during his expeditions to the Arctic, the first being ""The Open Polar Sea"" and the second being ""Cast Away on the Cold Coast of Greenland"". In ""The Open Polar Sea"", Hayes describes his belief that there is an open sea at the North Pole, free of ice, and argues that this could be an important discovery for trade and commerce. He recounts his own experiences exploring the Arctic and provides evidence to support his theory. In ""Cast Away on the Cold Coast of Greenland"", Hayes recounts his harrowing experience of being stranded on the coast of Greenland with his crew for several months. He describes the extreme cold and harsh conditions they faced, as well as their eventual rescue. Overall, Arctic Exploration Pamphlets provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of Arctic exploration in the 19th century, as well as Hayes' own experiences and theories about the region. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
