Pandosto: The Triumph Of Time is a novel written by Robert Greene and first published in 1588. The book is a tragic love story that revolves around the King of Bohemia, Pandosto, and his wife Bellaria. Pandosto becomes jealous of his wife's relationship with his best friend, Egistus, and accuses them of having an affair. Bellaria is innocent, but Pandosto's jealousy drives him to order the murder of Egistus and the banishment of Bellaria. The rest of the novel follows the tragic consequences of Pandosto's actions, as he realizes the error of his ways and tries to make amends. The novel explores themes of jealousy, love, betrayal, and redemption, and is considered a classic of Elizabethan literature.
