The Aesthetics of Grammar: Sound and Meaning in the Languages of Mainland Southeast Asia

The languages of mainland Southeast Asia evidence an impressive array of elaborate grammatical resources, such as echo words, phonaesthetic words, chameleon affixes, chiming derivatives, onomatopoeic forms, ideophones and expressives.
