The Naval Chronicle, published in 40 volumes between 1799 and 1818, is a key source for British maritime and military history. This reissue is the first complete printed reproduction of what was the most influential maritime publication of its day. It also contains a report on the regulations and new proposals made by the Board of Admiralty, a report by the Finance Select Committee on naval finances, a French account of the Battle of the Nile and a history of the British navy from 1793 to 1814.
