While in 7th grade, I lost my greatest friend, my older brother, to sarcoma of the bone. During the summer before his senior year in high school, he contracted the disease and passed away 6 months later. As all younger brothers do, I wished to grow to be like him. We competed, played, and competed again in everything we did. One of the reasons I think I became a coach - I get to continue playing the games we loved as children.
