This collection of poems was written during a three weeks stay in Italy to visit with friends and relatives and with my mother, who was slowly losing her mind. Though I usually write in English, these poems came to me in Italian, my mother tongue, and I merely wrote them down. They reflect on the present, they visit the past and the future but mostly they are intended as a celebration of life which is embraced in all its facets and in all its challenges. They are also intended as a conversation with my sister to whom they are dedicated because like her they are nurished by the richness of life.
