Caleb Howard, a young Black man from Boston, Massachusetts, experiences a life-changing romance with Samirah Al-Muhammad, a young Arab woman he meets at Carleton University in provincial Ontario, Canada. They fall for each other. The problem is that while many Arab men have Black wives and girlfriends, some of them firmly oppose non-Arab men and especially non-Muslim men's relationships with liberal Muslim women living in North America. The young couple is determined to fight for their growing love. Can they overcome the sinister and deeply prejudiced forces which staunchly oppose them ? Only time will tell.
