This is a book of poetry about Trauma Patients , about traumatic events and their impact on Caregivers, First Responders, Families, and Good Samaritans who try, sometimes without hope, to make a terrible situation better.

Front line health care and emergency workers are a hardy lot but we all have scars that don’t heal well. It is why we don’t think a lot about the people we has helped to live another day (That is our job). We think more of those we lost. We try, every day, to learn to do better.

A perfect example- is the CoVid 19 crisis. I am retired now, but I am proud to have been part of such a wonderful group of people.

WE all have ways of getting through each day, especially the hard ones. If you don’t deal with what you see and feel, it will tear you apart.

For me, Writing has always been a way for me to deal with some of life’s harsher realities. The writing helps but poetry heals. Writing ‘tells’ but poetry ‘feels’. We all need to feel this.

Gary is a Masters-prepared Poet , Writer, and Editor.
