A Bunny Named Easter
Gerda Brien Cristal
A little rabbit is born to the Bunny family on an Easter Sunday Morning . To honor the day his parents decide to name him Easter Bunny. When he is a little older he decides he would like to share his birthday with his family and friends. He would like to give them each a gift but he has nothing to give. He gets the idea that his friends could help him with their eggs, and they could be put in special nests, nests with a handle. The friends agree and all work together to make the special nests, fill them with eggs, and before anyone is awake, deliver them on Easter morning. One nest had been hidden, forgotten, and later found by one of the little rabbits. They look for more but there are no more. Easter promises more will by hidden next year and the same surprises will appear every year. It is all a big success and all the helpful friends are invited to Easter’s birthday dinner. Every year the Easter celebration includes colored eggs, and special baskets (nests).
Easter learns giving, sharing, working together are the greatest gifts of all. Making someone else happy is a very special gift.
