Perseverance: Picking Up The Pieces After All These Years

The book was written by a time line of the author’s life growing up in Detroit, MI that provides an idea of what was happening surrounding an event. The book describes her tenacity and willingness to follow her goals despite the company she kept and environment she accepted. The book describes how such dreadful things happen to such good people, no matter the obstacle, the willingness and determination to not succumb, and to move on pass such negative things. Describing how amazing to be able to share and provide an insight of what some may not have thought about, to write about. The book references some Detroit’s nostalgic areas, places, and landmarks around the city that held a significant relevancy in my life, that would be enjoyable remembering or researching coming straight from my soul, through the pen and down on paper.

The cover references the shield I once wore very proud of accomplishing my career goal and shattered pieces of glass, being put back together creating an image of an even more powerful, strong, determined women shedding a tear drop of joy on top of one of the most iconic city skylines of Detroit that she adores.
