This book series is intended to teach initial letter sounds while also emphasizing the most common presented form of English letters: lower case. This book series works best when used gradually, introducing one to three books to the child within a week and rotating different letter books each week. You can begin to introduce these books as early as 18 to 24 months.

When reading to a child, it is important to use the letter sound and make sure to isolate each sound to better prepare your child for blending sounds together.

Once your child is verbal, you can encourage them to read it back to you or others to the best of their ability. Do not correct the child unless they ask. Read the book back; if the child is unable to correct their errors and they will soon catch on!
