The practice exercises include 2-step and 3-step-problems that require mathematical thinking and reasoning. They take various formats such as multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blanks, matching, ordering, and drawing or plotting. Answer keys are given at the end of each section. At the end of each chapter, learners are given 10 complex or multi-step word problems that summarize the sections' content. The problems require students to understand all the content to solve them. The last chapter also includes 15 complex word problems that cover content from all the previous chapters.
