Seventeen-year-old Sierra Carter is a suicide survivor that wants a chance at a normal life. So what if that normal life is in a boarding school away from her blended family a town over. For once, things are going right for Sierra; she’s relatively happy, she has good friends, the new guy at school is showing an interest in her, and she has a chance at being normal. Until an acquaintance turns up dead, and on a foggy night, she comes face to face with the monster that did it-a creature straight out of myth and folklore. After a narrow escape, Sierra decides to keep the encounter under wraps, which seems like a good idea until it isn’t.
