Dan Goodwell, a troubled man, has been following subtle signs that indicate the possible re-occurrence of the Little Ice Age, a time of dangerous social upheaval. He conceives a plan to protect his family from the approaching danger. A second group finds a different approach to the same problem.

About the Author

I have been writing seriously for nearly twenty years, and have been a member of writing groups for much of that time. I love creating stories with believable characters and unusual plots. This novel is my first attempt at becoming a published author but other novels are in the works. I hope also to soon publish some of my short stories. I am a retired chemist/engineer and have participated in several start-up businesses, some pretty successful. I am a family man having fathered a large brood with the cooperation of my loving first wife, Ginny, (now deceased, to my great sorrow). My second wife, Barbara, is my current loving mate and she has added four girls from her previous marriage to the combined progeny. I love the diversity of humanity and hope to see a world where contributions from all the varieties of humans are recognized for their worth.
