Genesis doesn’t just tell the story of the beginning of the world; in Genesis, we see the dramatic unfolding of the story of God’s plan to save humanity for its own wicked choices. Betrayal, forgiveness, love, hatred, pain, triumph, banishment, and reinstatement: Genesis has it all. In Genesis we find the beginning whispers of the moment when God will triumph over the enemy. Genesis encourages us to look to God when the world around us is unbearable. Most importantly, Genesis holds invaluable truths that help us know who God is, where we come from, and what God calls us to do with our lives. You can’t understand a story without the beginning; Genesis is the beginning of God’s story and your story.
