LOVE MEANS SACRIFICE.

Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus live this truth over and over. He emptied Himself of His heavenly rights to serve us. He gave of His time to offer us an eternal inheritance. He cried out to God, His sweat becoming like drops of blood (Luke 22:44), asking for another way. But Jesus was always obedient, no matter how inconvenient or painful, and God’s plan moved forward. We are called to this life of obedience Jesus modeled so perfectly for us, and as we answer that call–through spiritual disciplines like prayer, Bible study, and service–we’ll cultivate a deeper and abiding faith.
