Snow has fallen in Bee Bank Wood. It is Christmas Eve, and Bear, Fox and Mouse have very important preparations to make. In a clearing in the centre of the wood, beneath a great evergreen tree, they are joined by their friends and dance the night away in the most wonderful party the wood has ever seen.

When dawn breaks, the friends return home to enjoy the rest of winter from the warmth of their cosy beds until Spring, when another story begins.
