First published in 1867, 'Gospel of the Stars' is a study of the relationship between astrology and Christianity. Hingston argues that the stars and constellations have symbolic meaning that can be interpreted in a Christian context, and points to various examples in Scripture and Church history that support this view. Although controversial in its time, 'Gospel of the Stars' remains an interesting example of the intersection of science and religion.
