The Georgian Bay Canal

The Georgian Bay Canal was a proposed transportation route through the Canadian Shield that would pass through Northern Ontario between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River. Mason and Tully were two of the chief engineers responsible for surveys of the region, and their reports provide valuable insight into the proposed but ultimately abandoned project.
