First performed in 1880, this stage adaptation of Jules Verne's adventure novel tells the story of Michael Strogoff, a courier for Tsar Alexander II who must cross Siberia to deliver a secret message to Irkutsk. Along the way, Strogoff is pursued by the evil Tartar warlord Feofar Khan, who seeks to thwart his mission. This edition includes the full text of the play, along with an introduction and notes by Verne scholar Arthur B. Evans.
