The Works Of George Lord Lyttelton

George Lord Lyttelton (1709-1773) was a British statesman and man of letters. This volume collects his two most famous works: Observations on the Conversion and Apostleship of St. Paul, in which he argues that St. Paul was a sincere convert to Christianity; and Dialogues of the Dead, a series of imaginary conversations between famous historical figures in the afterlife. Both works are notable for their elegant prose style and their blend of classical and Christian themes.
