The Christian Apologist

First published in 1856, The Christian Apologist was a monthly journal of theology and religious philosophy. Edited by Willis Nevins (1819-1878), a Congregationalist minister from Massachusetts, it aimed to provide intellectually rigorous defenses of Christian doctrine in the face of skepticism and rationalism. This volume collects articles from the journal's first year of publication, and includes contributions from a range of authors on topics such as the nature of God, the problem of evil, and the historical reliability of the Bible.
