First published in 1775, The History of the Establishment of Christianity is a work of French scholarship that traces the growth of the Christian church from its earliest days in the Roman Empire to the rise of the Catholic church in the Middle Ages. Written by Jean Baptiste Bullet (1717-1792), a professor of ecclesiastical history at the University of Paris, it drew on a wide range of historical sources to provide a comprehensive account of Christian history up to his own time.
