New Boston was a short-lived but influential literary magazine published in Boston, Massachusetts, in the years leading up to the Civil War. Volume 1, Issue 7, features contributions from such luminaries as Nathaniel Hawthorne, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, as well as lesser-known writers of the period.
