Originally a lecture series given at Cambridge University in 1912, Sorley argues against naturalism as a moral philosophy. He asserts that naturalism can neither identify nor provide objective ethical standards for human behavior and that identifying good actions and choices in a moral sense requires individuals to go beyond naturalism.
