This report provides an in-depth investigation of forage conditions in the northern border of the Great Basin, specifically in the region between Winnemucca, Nevada and Ontario, Oregon. The report covers the month-long investigations conducted by the author during July and August 1901. It includes detailed observations and analyses of the vegetation, soil, and climate conditions, as well as recommendations for improving the forage resources in the region.
