Synopsis: Danny is a high school student whose life is repetition of uneventful daily circumstance, while being caught in the mystery of a missing father and a secretive mother. A day at school brings reminders of these facets of Danny’s life. But a new teacher, Mr. Gilman, takes a keen interest in Danny, seeing potential. Danny shuffles through his day, enduring taunts and psycho-emotional projectiles from adversaries. While at the same time, Carrie, a classmate and math whiz, remains Danny’s staunch supporter. Reminded of being the kid with no date to the prom, Danny enters Astronomy Lab with no expectations of newness. While the day seemingly continues after class as expected, Danny’s experiences take a twist. A chance encounter with a girl named Mara leads Danny to face his self-doubt and develop insight about himself and the people in his life. Through the experience, Danny finds a positive future in front of him.
