Dead bodies look a lot different from dead people. Peg Shaw is forced to encounter her first murder scene when a CIA agent ends up dead in Bath, Ohio and Jack, the local police chief, enlists her help with his ghost. David Peters, the recently departed, refuses to tell Peg about a secret mission he was investigating at the time of his death.

Left to her own devices, Peg’s friends from Deadsville do their best to help her discover the killer in their unorthodox manner. But when the murderer strikes again David finally relents and agrees to tell Peg the real reason he was hiding out in her hometown.

Old secrets stir up new trouble for Peg and her ghostly gang of detectives as they seek answers to questions they had never thought to ask.
