Brianna was a simple girl, living an insignificant existence. Then without warning she was yanked from her world and held hostage on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean. All the women in the portraits had one thing in common. They all had her face. In an alternative timeline, Brianna has been rescued from an obscure shed in the woods. A complete stranger has served as her savior but has since remained a mystery to her. Not ready to trust anyone, she has struggled with her dependence on this man and his friends. Somehow, he seemed to know about the group who took her hostage. Except he is coy about his involvement, claiming to have previously worked for them. He has assured her he was only there to help her get away. He even takes her to Australia to join the fight against her kidnappers. As she reflects on the experience of being held captive, she must now navigate the new world in which she has found herself. Desperate for answers, she tries to find clues about the powerful and connected cult that took her, the ones who will stop at nothing to prevent her freedom.
