Street Glory is The Untold Story of a changed man who gave up the lifestyle to live in peace.

Truly a coming of age story set in St. Louis, Missouri, enjoy the vivid descriptions of the fashions, styles and cars of the late 80’s and 90’s and the sadness of young men living fast lives, gone too soon. As the author’s fortunes grew, so did the danger. After many warning signs and several life-threatening incidents, he finally decided to make a change, as reality hit too close to home. Recognizing the damage his actions and the actions of other street hustlers, one day, he lost the heart to continue living along that dark path.

Aaron Welch grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, the fifth of seven kids by his mother. When his parents split up, his mom, who was in the nursing profession, began working two jobs to support the family because of her commitment to providing. Each sibling lead the younger ones until they left the home. When it was his turn, Aaron had already been captivated by movies like Scarface, Superfly and The Mack, as well as TV shows like Miami Vice, each glorifying street life. He tried it, he liked it and he was hooked on being a player in the game. He began to hustle as a young, quiet teenager, building a successful empire within the confines of his territory in ‘the City.’ One fight in 9th grade changed the course of his life as he was sent to ‘the County’ to stay out of trouble. That move didn’t work, it simply increased his opportunity and built new relationships. With the changing times and increased danger, along with the effects of his choices coming to light, he stopped.
