When It Rains

Would you believe me if I told you I was dead? I guess the better question is, would you believe how it happened? Abuse and loss are all Nala know, but she knows better than to let it get the best of her. As she gets older and people come and go, Nala begins to carve her own path, doing whatever she wants whenever she wants, only to find herself in the middle of a situation she is not destined to get out of. Now with her only goal being to survive the life she was forced into, she has a couple choices - give up or fight for her freedom. Told from Nala’s point of view, When It Rains tells the short and not-so-sweet life story of a young woman whose constant search for light in a dark world becomes her detriment.
