Seven winters afore the events of Tull the Guardian finds the outfit’s future leader, Nelson James Tull, serving as a subordinate to souls of legend. Immaculate Edmond Anson Elragado leads ferocious Harlan Daniel Markey and conniving Barton Fredrik Janos as elders over Tull and his unversed peers. These four, teamed with Olley Hendrie Falk, Napier George Green, and Asham Benjamin Gera, see their time of mending forfeited by a sudden demand to appear afore the judges who rule the Second Creation. In rest’s stead, they are ordered to travel through the Behemot Woods as a show of loyalty to a reviled judge and to protect the Countess of Ebbe Demesne.

She-born Ruth Sondrea Fabray Conliffe-is the granddaughter of Guardian Bruce Norman Beck, a soul of tremendous legend, and daughter to Guardian Theodore Reaume, a soul renowned for astounding terror. Not they, but her connection to Tull, threatens the judges enough that the Guardian of the Jacoby Territory is forbidden contact with the countess. This bond complicates Edmond and the outfit’s mission to stop a race of creatures believed to exist in a time that preceded the Accession of the First Creation afore they take the life of the countess.

How has this race gone unseen? Will the countess abide by the rule of the judges? Why has Tull never spoken of her? What secrets will be discovered on Ebbe Demesne? And who will decide the Guardians’ future? The answers await in the first pairing of Tull & Ebbe, Seven Winters’ Time.
