A boy, a small-time YouTube preacher, and a squirrel walk into the SuperMart…
All Billy wanted was to run away, to get out from under the iron fist of his mother’s tyranny. Now the store is in lockdown and everyone is after him. He never gets any respect!
Sandy has been waiting her entire career for the chance to preach to a captive audience. And yes, it’s horrible that some poor child has been kidnapped, but also fortuitous: this is her chance to become a star.
Rusty is a squirrel on a mission: to knock off the shipment of roasted, salted nuts that will put him on easy street. But someone tipped off the humans and they are doing everything they can to stop him, even locking all the doors of the store. It’s going to take all his cunning to pull off this heist and cement his place in squirrel thief history.
Mitch Spooner, manager of the SuperMart, has a splitting headache, but that’s the least of his problems. A kid is missing, but he can’t call the police, lest they discover just how much he’s been embezzling. He’s going to have to trust his witless employees to figure it out while he covers his tracks. Hopefully they can do something about the squirrel too.
Nothing ever goes as planned, however, and no one trapped inside the Mega SuperMart will ever leave it the same. Some will be wounded metaphorically, others physically. Some will find love, others frustration. One might even find roasted, salted nuts. All will be dearly glad when they finally get out of the stupid store.
