Self Portrait as a Cup and Saucer

(from the Introduction by poet Andy Clausen): I knew of Fred Duignan from his paintings, which I liked. My artappreciation skills are unschooled and I have a Plebian manuallaborer’s affinity for representational art. I enjoyed them eventhough most of his work would be classified as abstract. In it, Isaw people, objects and spirits that for many were not easy tosee, and I was excited by the emotional intensity.
