Tree House Pond

A wooden cottage in the woods, amidst some trees and a pond. Its serenity, spirituality and physical beauty were so overwhelming I roamed around taking photographs upon photographs. Photographs, however, were not enough. I had to put words to the images. I had to speak about them. Being The Lonely Mystic that I am, you were my only recourse. Being a city-boy, I dreamed of nature. Dreams can come true. Tree House Pond contains forty photographs and forty poems. This version of the book is in black and white. Much of my formative years were spent viewing the world through Taoist glasses. I was a black and white kind-of-guy. My clothes were black and white. My paintings were black and white. My thinking was Yin and Yang. At some point, I went through a spiritual transformation and opened up to colors. That transformation inspired the second version of the book.
