Many contenders have won and loss before they to became a champion in the boxing arena. James The Chief Parker was once a contender for the middleweight, but loss to the same opponent twice. Once by a knockout and the other by a split decision in Madison Square Garden. The Chief became very angry and bitter at the end of his career, more losses than wins. His unhappiness led him to drinking. Regardless of how the Chief feels about himself he will always be the hometown hero. The Chief has three sons none of which takes his path. This fictional novel has its share of twists and turns that we call life.
