I like to think of Marzi Margo as the Yoko Ono of experimental poetry, but this reissued early collection shows the concrete roots of where that ever-growing experimentation was always meant to go. Full of formal constraints, lyrical language, beautifully-drawn characters, search for self, youthful experiences around shows and music and parties, and wild, cascading love, these early works of Margo’s move and sing on the page and provide an excellent glimpse into the sources of the far-flung places ver work currently resides.
