Faddey had always admired his brothers’ talent for fishing. He dreamed that one day he would fish alongside his older brothers and be just as great. But everyone assumed that because Faddey was still just a young boy that he could not be successful at fishing amongst the older boys in the village. Faddey was often laughed at for being a dreamer. But the laughter of others did not deter Faddey from his dream. Instead, it made him even more determined to accomplish his goal of becoming a great fisherman. One day walking to school, Faddey witnessed his best friend Fatimah getting teased for not having any shoes. This made Faddey become even more determined to fish with his brothers in the village competition to earn money to help Fatimah’s family and to provide food for his village during the winter.
