A little boy is awakened in the middle of the night by a noise he hears on his roof. When he goes outside to investigate, he discovers a strange, goofy green being from another planet, prancing about on the rooftop, who LOVES candy and sugary treats. The Goof tries to give the boy some sugary green taffy, but the boy rejects it when he sees that the Goof has rotten and missing teeth and is hyperactive, bouncing from one rooftop to another. The boy then teaches the Goof about the importance of laying off candy and sugary treats and eating more nutritious food instead. The Goof explains to the boy that there are no fruits or vegetables where he comes from. So the boy helps the Goof load up his spaceship with all kinds of healthy fruits and veggies from the boy’s backyard garden. The boy also gives the Goof a toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss. The Goof is now a happy camper. This delightful story, told in verse, will help teach kids, ages 3 and up, the importance of eating healthy diets. Full-page, full-color illustrations by Donny Crank throughout. Includes a foreword by dentist, Dr. William F. Beck, and an introduction by Lucie Arnaz.
