Who are Waldo, Blue, and Glad Max? Waldo is an old man who lives in an old, creepy house in the woods with his two pets: a cat named Max and a three-legged dog named Blue. The children of the town are warned by the townsfolk to stay far away from the seemingly creepy and scary trio. The townsfolk believe the old man and his pets are dangerous, vicious, and not to be trusted. And then, on Christmas Eve, the director of the local orphanage is lured away into town, leaving the orphaned children all alone. When the director returns, the children are missing! Immediately he suspects Waldo and his savage pets of kidnapping the orphans. The director wastes no time in putting together a posse of angry townsfolk. Armed with clubs and rakes, they set off for the creepy house in the woods to rescue the kidnapped orphans. But when the angry mob bursts through Waldo’s door, the true spirit of Waldo, Blue, and Glad Max Too! is finally and joyously revealed. What they find inside that house amazes everyone. They can’t believe their eyes! This is a Christian story written in verse with full-color illustrations throughout. Includes an inspirational foreword by Donna Douglas. Ideal for readers and listeners ages 4 and up.
