Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. (John 4:35 KJV)

Enter God’s Rest was written to remind us that the ultimate form of trust is resting when we feel as if we should be working. Time and time again, throughout the Bible, Jesus is being ministered to while others continued to work. For instance, when Martha went off to prepare food, Jesus was being fed by Mary sitting at his feet hearing and believing the Word of the Lord. When the disciples went off to buy food, Jesus was being fed by the woman at the well hearing and believing the Word of the Lord. On the Mount of Transfiguration, God didn’t say this is my beloved son, feed him. He said this is my beloved Son, hear him.

There is a well-intended, but poverty inducing mindset that hinders Christians from receiving the abundance of God that is ours through faith in the name of Jesus; that is ours as joint heirs with Christ; and that has been set aside for us. Because of this mindset we try to create through our works what we should be receiving through our faith in the name of Jesus, who was not sent to be ministered unto but to minister unto us. Often our answers are in resting, not in working. We must learn to discern the time. Enter God’s Rest will help you do just that.

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28 KJV)
