Marion Harley is a retired elementary school assistant principal. Before becoming an educator, she was a paralegal for the federal government in the General Accounting Office. Her family was a Boxer family for thirty years, but it was not until she owned her first Cavalier that she fell completely in love with the breed. She now owns three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and two Boxers.

It has always been her passion to become a writer and an artist. Her poetry has appeared in several editions of Rhyme Time and in The Aiken Standard. It is Marion’s great hope that she has given all who read this book with children the opportunity to engage in interesting conversations. She lives in Aiken County, South Carolina, with her husband, Paul, and enjoys the time she spends with her dogs, her family, and her friends.
