March 2000-For most people a car crash that's scary but that you walk away from, is mainly an inconvenience. For Connie Doherty, it was a call to adventure.

At the tender age of forty-eight (the new twenty-eight) Doherty closed down her business, began a month-long course, and learned to teach English as a second language. After that, the world awaited.
