Spider Legs, Sparrow Legs: A Story of Today’s Navajo People

Spider Legs, Sparrow Legs was written to help introduce Navajo culture to children of other cultures. When eight-year-old Vonda becomes ill, her family seeks help from the local health clinic and the tribal medicine man. The story follows this Native American family as they strive to keep their culture alive, while moving forward with technology. Told through the eyes of Vonda’s older brother Tommy, it is a delightful story that shows that all children, no matter their culture, are very much the same. A portion of the profits of this book will be donated directly to the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship and Financial Assistance Fund.
