IT WAS ME takes us into the life of a young scared mother raising her teenage boy in the city of Baton Rouge, La. where the spirit of murder was running rampant. Nightly she would sit on the edge of the bed and watch the news, observing the violent crimes (homicides) being committed almost every night.Some of these crimes were in her area. Silently she would whisper to herself a prayer for all the mothers and families that were hurting due to the loss of their loved ones. The life of a mothers pages turn who had been given a new journey. This was a journey that she didn’t expect and wasn’t quite sure that she was ready to take.
