An Incident in Africa: A Deadly Deception

Markus Mathais, German soldier, pilot and wireless engineer, survived the first World War fighting for Germany in its African colonies. Though his home in German South West Africa is now under British occupation, Markus looks forward to reuniting with his wife and the promising future he sees for them and their family. But a terrible crime has become a secret with grave consequences requiring a desperate deception. His best friend, Solomon Levi, returns to his family estate in the forests near Munich. As he struggles to return to his normal life, around him Germany faces revolution, economic hardship and social upheaval.
