This book is intended for those who are Christian church leaders and anyone who is seriously considering evangelism. This book was adapted from the author’s dissertation as part of the requirements for the Doctor of Ministry degree with a major in Pastoral Ministry. The research question for the book is stated in Chapter 1 as: What are the similarities and differences between churches in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island and the evangelism as practiced in the New Testament by Jesus Christ, His disciples, and the apostle Paul, and how can churches in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island focus more on New Testament evangelism? Excerpt: There is a great day coming when Jesus will return again. But for many it will be a day of gloom. Like in the days of Noah, people will be going about doing their business mindless about God, and then the door of the ark will shut. Where are the heralds in our generation? Who will share with the unaware stranger about sin, judgment, and Christ’s sacrifice on the cross to save them from eternal hell? You and I have been quickened by God’s Word and His Spirit to share this news with others we do not know. This is why we are here (otherwise God could have transported us to heaven immediately after we accepted Him). It is the reason why Martha and Mary rushed from the resurrected tomb excitedly to tell the disciples that Jesus arose from and conquered death! It is the reason why the angels sang Halleluiah upon Christ’s birth in Luke 2:14. Let us remain true to His call.
