Betty the Bike

A Lyrical Tale-Read and sing-along with Betty the Bike enjoying her life cycling on the cobblestone streets delivering bread and flowers. She bumps in to Stanley the Bike who transporting hurt hedgehogs to the local animal clinic and an unspoken love begins. Lyrical Tales are read & sing-a-long books for children with songs available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. Author/songwriter Barbara Allyn (Treehouse/Sesame Street), Holly Truax illustrator (featured artist in Bezier The Best Vector Artists Worldwide), and John Alcorn (Dora Award) series co-song writer/singer, are joined by recognized vocalists Micah Barnes (formerly w/The Nylons), Melissa Stylianou (with praise from DownBeat to The New Yorker) CoCo Love Alcorn (double nominee of the East Coast Music Awards) and the incomparable Canadian vocalist Jackie Richardson (Gemini Award) to create the first 4 of 12 children’s read sing-a-long books. The books titled ‘A Fish Named Thirsty’ (jazz/scat), ‘Betty the Bike’ (Traditional English folk) and ‘Two By Two (hip hop/gospel) and Santa’s Birds (holiday traditional) each introduce a different musical genre to children by lyric, picture and song. This new series is published under Lyrical Tales. The songs are engineered by Juno Award winning Jeff Wolpert at his Desert Fish Studio in Toronto.
