Jim was a regular guy working a job and raising a family with his wife. Jim had become disillusioned by the state of current affairs and the inability of our religious based beliefs system to provide answers for why horrible things were happening to people all over the world. God works in mysterious ways or Satan is responsible just didn’t cut it when it came to explanations for terrorism, mass murder or natural disaster. Jim was an in-between man, still wanting to believe in God but wondering if there was a better explanation for why we are here and why things seem so out of control. Darwinism with its doctrine of chance and fate certainly did not ring true either as there was some level of design inherent in nature that was pretty obvious. So Jim was left to wonder if there was a reasonable explanation for all of these monumental occurrences that have happened over the past 15 - 20 years such as 911 in 2001 or the great tsunami in 2004. As Jim pondered these issues an enigmatic and charismatic fellow appeared in his life and provided an explanation to the very things that he had been thinking about. The only thing was, he would have to consider himself crazy to believe the wild-ass theory that was being presented. Jim’s new friend described himself as a Sumerian god who had come back to Earth to help usher in a new age. This wasn’t exactly what Jim had hoped for since he was looking for a reasonable explanation for the way things were, not some far-fetched story from a crackpot. But then a strange thing happened. The things that Enki talked about actually started to make sense. This was not something that Jim relished since believing Enki meant that he had to consider his own sanity. Enki spun a web of incredulous myth and off-world theory that could only come out of the mouth of a lunatic. But in some bizarre fashion it was starting to answer some of the questions Jim had been asking himself and so instead of being in-between religion and atheism, Jim now had to consider a new paradigm that might transcend the other two. It couldn’t get worse, it seemed to Jim but it was only getting started as he was in for the ride of his life.
